What is truth?

"They that recognize the truth are those that want to acknowledge the truth". This proverb came to my mind after a number of years, through experience I had acquired with this website. I have received many reactions and they have taught me that those who sincerely search for the truth are willing to be corrected where necessary. Moreover, for those people I have invested the time and energy into the making and servicing of this site. Therefore, I hope that you, dear reader, will take a lesson with you from all my toils. By the way, this site is of Dutch origin so you are now looking at the English translation thereof. Consequently, every now and then you will encounter descriptions of religious deceptions that for a large part match the situation in the Netherlands. I hope you may learn from that because the deceiver (satan) is not bound to our geographical borders. At the moment only a few pages are translated but as time goes by more translated pages will be added. So, if you visit this site again at a later date you will find more interesting articles which will probably rock your religious convictions. Nevertheless, it is not my intention to destroy your faith, but to expose the lies and deceptions that have invaded Christianity. For a more detailed explanation you have to read on.

With the image above, I have tried to show the situation of the world we live in. What I mean to say is: there is an ongoing war between the truth and the lie for possession of this world. Between the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness. A war that is a mystery for many Christians. That many Christians are groping in the dark about this is to be expected, because the concept of truth has for many Christians in this modern day and age, become a self-filled definition. Which has lead to the opinion that there are no absolute truths and they are absolutely sure of this fact… Whatever remains of these "truths" must be able to be adjusted to suit their taste. However, very often for many, that turns out to be the most comfortable truth and is that which is closest to their convictions. The result is that they are caught up in their own convictions and they stray further away from the message that we find in the bible. The result of these out of control passions is that inside divided Christianity, many have nailed together their own version of the gospel. And consequently, they throw the gospel of Jesus Christ on the garbage heap. Jesus spoke of this in Matthew 24:12: "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Speaking of such disregard for the law, Jesus meant to say that Gods standards are being swept aside more and more and all that remains is a superficial religion that is merely an enactment.

During Jesus' trial He came face to face with a Roman who, feeling pressured by an angry crowd, desperately asked of which truth Jesus spoke. In John 18:38 we find this event: "Pilate said to him, what is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and said to them, I find in him no fault [at all]."

Many masks after 2000 years of Christianity.

The question that Pontius Pilate asked about the truth was not just a question that was asked by a cornered Roman, but also a question that has been asked through the ages. His question was a reaction to a statement that Jesus made in John 18:37: "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice." This statement was one of many that Jesus was venomously attacked for during His time on earth. The truth that Jesus brought was the gospel of the kingdom of God, which He summarized in Matthew 18:11: "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

Not only then but even today, the adversary has managed to get people to exchange the truth of the gospel of Jesus for many lies. Consequently, even they who live in my own small country (the Netherlands) crowd each other with churches, religious circles, cults, parishes, and gatherings and what ever else can be bought at these religious rummage sales. As a result, almost 2000 years after this question of Pontius Pilate we must ascertain that the only face that spoke the truth has been replaced by many masks, behind which the lie is hidden. Outsiders view the Christian happening with suspicion and wonder where the truth may be found. Compounded by this there are so-called Christian circles that deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and in doing so robbing Jesus of His identity. This allegation is nothing else than a mask for the king of lies to hide behind.

A war rages for possession of the world in which light and darkness, truth and lie stand against each other. I have tried to represent this in the picture above. With the fall of man, he was drawn into this war, but a war, which in the end the devil will lose, as it was proclaimed to him in the Garden of Eden. Nevertheless, it is a spiritual war. However, because the devil, the great liar, hides himself behind many masks, this fact has been hidden from the view of many Christians, which in turn don't wish to realize that the battle is not yet over.

The beast out of the sea…

The apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 5:11: "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret." With the articles on this site using the bible as the basis, I want to clarify that the prince of this world since the drama that unfolded in the Garden of Eden, has been hiding behind many masks, to do his undermining work undetected for as long as possible. The teachings and dogmas that divides Christendom into so many churches and groups are nothing more than the masks that hide a monster. A monster that has received instruction from satan to mislead Christendom from the time of Golgotha. It is the second most powerful demon that only has to abide satan above him. In I John 4:3, this monster is named as the spirit of the anti-christ. John adds to this by saying "...and even now already is it in the world." Moreover, we can only ascertain through twenty centuries of church history that this is confirmed to be true. In Revelations 13:1, this same monster is described by John as a beast that rises up out of the sea. This sea refers to the (spiritual) religious world, including everything that calls itself Christian. In other places in Revelations, this religious world is also called the great Babylon, the great whore. This beast keeps himself hidden under the surface of this religious sea. To put it differently, he has been able to hide behind everything that is appraised as religion, where he makes use of a downpour of false doctrine. We live in a time when the mask of new age is manifested in many forms and variations, but this mask also disguises the beast which keeps his true nature hidden. In Revelations 13:1 John sees this very beast emerging from the sea and it describes that moment that he takes off his (new age) mask and shows his true nature.

…and the beast out of the earth.

This spirit of the anti-christ, the beast of the sea, does not work alone. He will be represented in this world by another beast and that beast appears in Revelations 13:11 on the world stage, "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." This beast comes out of the earth, a representation of the natural world, in contrast with the beast out of the spiritual/religious sea. This beast out of the earth is a human being: the much talked about anti-christ that through the occult and sorcery has direct contact with the beast out of the sea, the spirit of the anti-christ. The two of them, together with their occult following shall band together to destroy the great Babylon, the great whore. Woe unto those found in company of hypocrites, or amidst the "religiously active", or with the opportunists and the apostates in those days, because even the last fragments of spiritual life and faith of these people will be destroyed. It is about a spiritual invasion force that will be released by the anti-christ and his occultists out of the dungeons of hell.

This is the reason for the call in Revelations 18:4 to the sincere of heart to leave this false world church (that will end up being a mixture of Christendom and many other heathen religions): "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." The difference between the sincere that heed this call and the apostates that have no use for this message, and feel at home in the world church will in the last days become more visible. In other words, the difference between the truth and the lie will become even more visible. In Revelations 22:11 this growing contrast is summarized: "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."

Many false prophets.

The intention of this site is among other things to give a modest push to unmask the demonic intent behind various dogmas, doctrines, and the other so-called "holy houses" they hide behind, they are often so close to the truth that men find it a great struggle to convince people of the harsh reality. The reality, as I have written above, is that the true nature of much of the religious "noise" is merely dishonest. In Matthew 24:11 Jesus made a statement that the sincere children of God should frame and hang up where it can be read, so that they can immerse themselves on a daily basis with the knowledge that Christendom has been infiltrated by servants of satan. Jesus stated the following:

Jesus' warning reminds me of a story of a woman that was married to a man that turned out to be a catholic priest. He was away from home on a regular basis until she finally found out that he served Rome. In a moment of arrogance, that man made a remark: "We (the Roman Catholic Church) lead and direct all churches." And with all churches he meant the protestant churches including all churches related to protestant Christendom, in whatever form they took, dealing with religious business. The harsh reality is, for example, that "protestant theology" over decades has been systematically adjusted by followers of Rome with the purpose, as Jesus predicted, to deceive many into a religion that has hollowed out the gospel of Jesus.

In addition, I am not even speaking of Harry Kuitert (a Dutch theologian) whose books scream of hostility toward the Creator, No, no I am speaking of the backstabbing practices of so-called "respectable theologians" that with their pious speech do not spread the gospel but the false doctrine of spiritual Babylon. Like the "pastor of the Dutch Royal Court" Mr. Carel ter Linden (a Dutch theologian who had the Dutch Queen among his audience several times) who reads to the citizens of Babylon out of a fairytale book. The word Bible is still written on the cover, but the content loses all credibility through this speaker. Therefore, many of these kinds of wolves have entered unnoticed.

When the Israelites returned form Babylonian Banishment, being lead by Nehemiah to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem their enemies conspired together. In Nehemiah 4:11 we read: "And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease." However, their plans were quashed and the wall was completed. Nevertheless, soon after Nehemiah had left one of them succeeded in getting inside the walls of Jerusalem by another means. We can read about this in Nehemiah 13:6-9: "But in all this [time] was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king: And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God. And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber. Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense." And it was no less a priest (Eliashib) who gave this enemy lodgings in the outer court of God's House. It has remarkable similarities with present-day situations; enemies of the gospel who have asserted a place between the members and the mass of God's children have noticed nothing.

There are many examples of refined and underhanded methods through which many false prophets have penetrated the walls to seduce God's children to deviate from the truth of the gospel. Resulting in that which Jesus, in continuing His warning in Matthew 24:12 says, which I previously have pointed out: "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

Off with the masks.

To be able to convince the sincere under the children of God of the seriousness of the situation, the masks of the false prophets must be pulled off. In addition, the penetrated Tobiahs must be radically removed. This is not easy, because men will not always be confronted with understanding, and (speaking about the Dutch situation) certainly not from the world of evangelical Netherlands who have fallen into spiritual decay. Even more so when religious leaders and thus "well known leaders" fall off their pedestal and more than just them hits the ground (I'm now referring to big egos).
More than once, I have had a reprimanding finger raised at me and accuse me of insulting these religious leaders by calling names. Or that I am "kicking against established order."
However, I am well aware that ordinary name-calling does not serve the kingdom of God. Nevertheless, in discussing certain topics it is inevitable that there are those that will be offended by certain statements. Even Jesus could not escape it, so when necessary used hard language, as we can read in Matthew 23 in which he left nothing undamaged of the teachings of the scribes and Pharisees. Because of the seriousness of a number of subjects there will be times when I will be very clear about my conclusions concerning certain doctrine. Inevitably, this site has been considered a "critical site" or "controversial site" by some. So be it. As long as there are people sampling or consuming products from this present-day religious supermarket, disciples of Jesus will be told off for daring to bring the truth about the gospel of Jesus.

Because I wish to bring attention to the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have spend the first four years since this site has been online wanting to achieve the unmasking of false teachings that have been added to the gospel. However since the spring of 2006 it has been my intention more and more to allow the gospel to speak for itself from the bible, with the purpose of raising the reader in righteousness as was Paul's goal, which is evident in 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." A disciple of Jesus that, obedient to the gospel, takes the bible seriously does not need to be continually warned of the wolves in sheep's clothing, because he/she is fully capable of recognizing the servants of satan in time and able to remove their masks.

I wish to end here with the hope that my writing and penmanship have contributed that for many the eyes will be opened and the realization will grow that not the teachings of all these "Christian" denominations should be our guide but what is written in the bible. Moreover, in that very bible we read that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ on a day-to-day basis is what defines us.
